I think it looks very good with the white vinyl top. The original color was Ascot Blue.

This site is dedicated to my new blue 72 Chevy Monte Carlo. I will be updating it with new photos as I progress in its restoration.

Its the original 350 2bbl.

It needs a lot of work. I have added a complete new ignition and the chrome air cleaner.

I have done some things already since these photos were taken. I have added a hood to cowl seal, a rear hood seal, rear hood bumpers, new vacuum pod and door, new cowl screens, new hood insulation, and a new upper radiator hose strap. I will post a few pics real soon. I would like to thank everyone at the First Generation Monte Carlo Club for all their help and patience with my vent problem. Could not have fixed it without you all. Thanks.
I do have some future upgrades. For starters and temporarily, a new Edelbrock RPM intake and 600cfm 4bbl set up. This will be just for a year or so while I am building my 73 SS 454 Big Block. My goal is to put it in this car factory correct. I am searching for a 400 turbo and a 12 bolt posi rearend to complete the new drivetrain. Until then, I plan on doing what I can to the original engine. The car runs like a champ but I think it could use the 4bbl setup. I did put a new dual exhaust from the manifolds back on it and it made a huge difference. I used Thrush turbo flow mufflers and chevelle chrome tips. I will keep this site updated with new photos as the car progresses.
